I am doing this because Im totally bored out of my head. I am sitting in the airport in San Diego waiting to catch my flight and I have already been pushed back 2 flights. Just to give you a heads up of the situation that I am getting myself into, at this current second Chicago is -1 degrees with like 8 inches of snow and I am leaving San Diego where is 73 degrees and sunny! This leads me to my post: I love people watching and an airport is the best place to do it. With a backdrop of the same three Barbara Striesand Cristmas songs playing and the ever so loud announcements over the PA system the airport is relatively quiet on one of the busiest travel days of the year. Most everybody seems really happy even if their planes have been rescheduled, rerouted or cancelled. I love Christmas so much because of this exact reason. Merry Christmas to everyone that reads my blog and I will write back soon!
Hopefully now I can catch my flight into -1 degree weather!! YEAH!

Snow!
Last night my roommate and I drove about 10 minutes from our house and we actually saw some snow. It has been cold here for the past week or so but never close enough to get a chance of snow. Then we woke up to rain on Wednesday morning and by the night time it was almost freezing. So about 10 minutes north of our house and about 1000 ft in altitude highter we were able to catch a little snow. I absolutely love the snow and I think It went to my head because I stripped down to my boxers and ran all through the snow. Gotta love California snow!!

With Thanksgiving past and Christmas less than a month away I can officially say we are in the best time of the year. I love hearing Christmas songs and seeing the colors and lights etc. In the subdivision where I live alot of people have actually put up decorations and lights and it looks really good. Im sure at my house we will putting some sort of decorations up I just don't know how much or when. LOL! the only thing that has been very clear this year is that ITS NOT COLD! Isnt Christmas supposd to be freezing cold and white and hard to drive in etc, etc, etc. Ya we have none of that here, actually yesterday it was 83 degrees outside. So no wonder when I am walking throught the mall or browsing through Macy's its make me all weird to hear Christmas music and then to trip on the flap of my flip flops... :)

Albert Pujols
Yes in fact, the best player in baseball has won his second MVP and I cannot be more happy about it. I know this is sort of random but Im a huge St. Louis Cardial fan and our first baseman has been snubbed for so many years in the MVP catergory. So I just wanted to let everyone know Albert Pujols is the 2008 MVP of the National League. Go Cardinals!!!!!!

Is blood thicker than water?
Over the past two years I have thought about this phrase over and over and over. The expression, meaning that family bonds are closer than those of outsiders. In any situation where one was deciding to go with family or "fill in the blank" a person would always side with his family. Now I know that certain crazy situations it is necessary to break ties with your family but those situations are few and far between. So the saying sticks: Blood is thicker than water...or is it? In all situations, to make a right decision one would have to know what the water is and of course what was done to make the blood "thin". In this case, the water is a church and the "blood thinning" is "going to the movies" and "listening to bad kinds of music". I cant really say much more because I am not here to talk down on anybody or anything but the saying keeps ringing in my head... and in this situation, water was found to be much thicker than blood!

The Election
The election is only a few days away and the decision is going to be made between John McCain or Barack Obama. I, for one am a completely for the right to vote so I will exercise that right this coming Tuesday. The only thing that bothers me is that I am not 100% in favor of either candadite. Yes, I know this is always the fact but in this election it is basically choosing one evil over the other. John McCain is almost as liberal as every Democrat in the Senate and Barack Obama is one step removed from Satan. Barack Obama is an orator and John McCain says "my friends" way too much to be believable. John McCain is against gay marraige and Barack Obama is basically for anything that makes people vote for him. Barack Obama has the governing experience of about 3 years and John McCain has been an elected official for like 200 years or something. John McCain could possibly die while in office because of his age and Barack Obama could be assainated while in office because of his race. So the decision comes down to the successors they have chosen. Sarah Palin or Joe Biden??? Joe Biden is a loser of losers and Sarah Palin is taking heaps of grief from the media which most likely means she is a great person. So my decision is Sarah Palin for President '08. One because she seems brilliant, she is a believer in hard core family values and the free economy principles that I have grown up to believe. And lastly because she is gorgeous... that has to count somewhere right?? ... LOL!

Being in California....
Where I live here i southern California most would presume it is as close to paradise as it could get in these United States. I must say as a side note to this, I do love the weather and wouldn't change it for the sticky humid days of the midwest and south or the freezing cold days in the north. But I have a small complaint when the fall days (like right now) come and the weather stays basically the same, I miss the good ole Chicago fall and winters. Another thing, these fires that have captivated the minds of southern californians the past two Octobers are terrible. I never thought that at anytime I could be told to leave my house for fear a fire would burn it down. I was watching a movie a few days back and it was a scene in the fall, where the trees across the valley had turned a beautiful red, yellow and green. Thoughts came flooding back of the days when my dad would make my siblings and I rake our yard. I hated it then of course because it seemed like we did it on the coldest days. Now I would love to do that just one more time. Funny how change can make you appreciate what you had... even if it was raking two acres of leaves in, what seemed like -20 degree weather.

First ever blog
I guess I will take this first blog and catch you up over the past few months. I am currently living in southern California with a very good friend named Justin. He owns a house in a city called Canyon Hills and I am his lowly roommate. Justin has proven to be an amazing man and friend. I made this move about three months ago and I love it.
I am currently looking for a career change which as of right now it looks to be a bad time to do this because of the economy. I also have met some amazing new friends in the past few months. Good friends prove to be a good thermometer of your life, right now I am finding what the value of good friends is.
Over this blog I plan on leaving notes to keep friends and family up to date on my life. Please feel free to comment or ask questions. I am a pretty easy going guy so if you have a criticism or complaint leave it and I will hire somebody to kill you... no, that was a joke. I would love to hear from everybody.
